Recently, a new free extension, Synthesys X, has been released for popular browsers. It generates analogs of images from the Internet using neural networks. We test the tool on examples and tell you how to enable it.
How the technology works
Synthesys X analyzes the objects and details in any picture on the web and then creates a similar image based on them. The resulting “neurocopy” retains the style and motifs of the source material but is considered unique content. In this case, the copyright for the drawing remains with the user.
The extension uses the open-source Stable Diffusion neural network, so the result may be inferior to more powerful paid counterparts. But please the speed of work: 10-20 seconds. And the number of generations is unlimited.
How to try
Synthesis X is supported by Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. You can download the add-on from the official Google extension store at this link.
After installation, we look for the desired picture on the Internet and click on it with the right mouse button. The Revisualize item will appear in the drop-down menu, after clicking on it a window will open in the browser. It will form two analog images. The more details in the source, the better the result.
