More and more details about the future series of flagship smartphones Galaxy S23 appears on the network. Following the promotional materials and colors, the key characteristics and features of the devices were revealed. We collected all the information about the new products known now.
Display and other parameters
The Galaxy S23 will be equipped with a 6.1-inch AMOLED panel with FHD + resolution and an adaptive frequency of up to 120 Hz. A 50-megapixel sensor will be installed as the main camera, complemented by ultra-wide (12 MP) and telephoto (10 MP). There will be a 10MP front camera on the front. The smartphone is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of permanent memory. Responsible for autonomy is a 3900 mAh battery with support for 25-watt charging.
The Galaxy S23, like the rest of the models, will ship with Android 13 and OneUI 5 firmware. The main difference between the S23+ and the younger version is the larger display (6.6”) and battery (4700 mAh, 45 W adapter). The top S23 Ultra will receive a screen with a diagonal of 6.8 inches and a resolution of 3088×1440. Photo capabilities will also be upgraded: the main sensor, according to rumors, will be a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP2 with OIS support. The size will be 1/1.3″, which is only slightly larger than the iPhone 14 Pro.
Design and Processor
According to reports, there will be few external changes in this generation. The basic and enhanced versions of the Galaxy S23 will receive a body with rounded corners and three lenses on the rear panel, which are now not highlighted in the block. The Ultra model will get a more angular design, identical to its predecessor.
The new colors are Light Gold and Rose Gold for the Galaxy S23, Pink for the Galaxy S23+, and Green for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It is these shades that will be promoted in the advertising campaign. Black and beige colors will also be presented on the market.
The top modification will retain the slot for the S Pen stylus. The basis for all devices in the line will be the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 manufactured by Samsung. As for the Exynos 2300, there is evidence that the proprietary processor may be abandoned in favor of a Qualcomm solution for all regions. This is possible under a new agreement between the chipmaker and the South Korean company. However, its own chipset can migrate to other gadgets – Galaxy S22 FE and Galaxy Tab S8 FE.
From other cameras, the presence of a telephoto (10 megapixels, 3x zoom), a periscope lens (10 megapixels), and an ultra-wide (12 megapixels) are reported. The selfie sensor will have a resolution of 40 megapixels. It is also known that the frame rate for recording 8K video will be increased from 24 to 30 fps. Improved quality of shooting at night is also expected.
The memory configurations of the flagship are as follows: 8/12 GB of RAM (LPDDR5X) and 256/512/1 TB of internal storage (UFS 4.0). The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Other features include support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, a Qualcomm modem, and reverse wireless charging (15W).
