The piggy bank of rumors about the upcoming flagships of the HUAWEI P60 series has been replenished with new information. A recent insider report has revealed a possible announcement date for the smartphones, as well as improvements in camera, display, and battery compared to its predecessors.
According to the Chinese portal My drivers, the presentation of the HUAWEI P60 will take place in March this year. In terms of performance, the HUAWEI P60 Pro model is credited with a 6.6-inch OLED display manufactured by BOE with a resolution of 1440×3200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz (PWM 1920 Hz).
The resolution of the front camera of the gadget will be 32 megapixels, and the rear module will include three sensors: the main 50-megapixel Sony IMX888, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (IMX858), and a telephoto lens with a 64-megapixel sensor (OmniVision OV64B). The basic version of the flagship will retain the number of sensors, but their resolution will be different: 52, 50, and 16 megapixels. In both cases, XMAGE technology is mentioned to improve the possibilities of mobile shooting.
It is also reported that HUAWEI P60 Pro will receive a 4G version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and a 5500 mAh battery with support for a 100W power supply and a 50W wireless accessory. In addition, the source mentions Kunlun tempered glass and protection of the smartphone case from dust and water according to the IP68 standard. HUAWEI itself has not yet confirmed this information.
